The “Masar Wa’ed” program aims to develop Saudi talent in key emerging sectors, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to enhance and strengthen the Kingdom’s national talent.

Riyadh, October 14, 2024 – The Helicopter Company (THC), a fully owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Kingdom’s premier commercial helicopter operator, has announced the opening of applications for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, "Masar Wa’ed," in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services.

The “Masar Wa’ed” program aims to develop and upskill Saudi talent in key sectors, including aviation, as part of a joint effort between the public and private sectors to build capabilities and meet the growing demands of the industry. This initiative aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance national talent and strengthen the Kingdom’s global competitiveness.

As part of the agreement, THC will offer training programs under the Masar Wa’ed initiative that lead directly to employment. Applications are now open from October 14 to October 31, 2024, for the “Fixed-Wing to Helicopter Pilot Transition Program” at Hillsboro Aero Academy in the United States.

The agreement was signed during the Global Logistics Forum, where the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services inked several agreements with leading companies under Masar Wa’ed. The agreements aim to enhance the skills of Saudi professionals and address the workforce needs of the transport and logistics sectors.

This partnership between THC and the Ministry underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering public-private collaborations, increasing localization, and investing in the development of human capital.

THC has also launched the Qimma program, a pioneering initiative designed to nurture Saudi talent in the aviation sector. To date, the program has successfully graduated over 100 pilots and technicians. These efforts reflect the company’s dedication to supporting the development of Saudi youth and its key role in advancing local expertise in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
